Kaylea was born and raised in the City of Regina. She attended the University of Regina and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree before moving on to the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Kaylea graduated from the College of Law in 2007 obtaining her Bachelor of Laws degree. Kaylea articled with a business law firm in Red Deer, Alberta and, after being called to the Alberta Bar in September, 2008, continued to practice with that firm for the next two years. She then returned home to practice as a lawyer with Gerrand Rath Johnson LLP and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in April, 2011. Kaylea is a trained Collaborative lawyer and has a general practice with an emphasis on corporate/commercial law, real estate, wills and estates, elder law and family law.
Kaylea is committed to her community, offering her time to volunteer programs such as the RQHR Perinatal Advisory Council, CNIB, various community boards and she is a two time Paul Harris Fellow Rotarian and President Elect of the Rotary Club of Regina. Kaylea is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association, Collaborative Professionals of Saskatchewan and the Regina Bar Association and she has appeared before all levels of Court in Saskatchewan.
